Membership

Attending our membership class is the first step in our process. Those who are interested will have the opportunity to learn about ECC from our leaders and begin a dialogue about our biblical and theological beliefs and practices. 

Membership ‘interviews’ help our leaders get to know you more and allow you to get to know us more as well. We spend our time hearing your testimony, answering any questions you might have, and reviewing our essential beliefs and commitments that accompany membership.

We define our ‘covenant’ as a mutual commitment between the members and corporate body of Eastside Community Church. The conditions of our membership covenant are merely those callings and obligations that are applicable to all Christians (e.g., submitting to the Scriptures, pursuing holiness, serving the church, etc.). If at any time one of the parties of this church covenant continues in a state of unfaithfulness to its provision, the other is released from their obligations.

Those who want to commit to being members will be presented and rejoiced over during one of our upcoming Sunday services so that our church body might acknowledge and welcome you! 

Our leaders are committed to walking with you regularly, coming alongside you in life through avenues of worship, belonging, service, and discipleship. 

As a member you will be called to participate in our ‘family meetings’ as a church to weigh in on various church matters such as ministry updates, leader appointments, amendments to our church’s bylaws, and more.
